Community Meeting: Fields in North Oakland
On Tuesday, April 8, 5:30 p.m. at Oakland International High School (4521 Webster Street), District 1 School Board Director Jody London will host a community meeting to discuss the Temescal Educational Park, an initiative to ensure access recreation space on their campuses for students in the Temescal Corridor. School Board Director Roseann Torres will also be in attendance. Oakland Unified has engaged the Oakland Schoolyard Initiative to assist in this work. At the meeting, the Oakland Schoolyard Initiative will present current options and obtain stakeholder feedback. We also will convene an advisory group that will meet over the next 4-6 weeks to assist the Superintendent of Schools in bringing a recommendation to the School Board in May on how to proceed.
