Len Gabrielson – ’33

Len Gabrielson, Class of 1933

Len Gabrielson played both baseball and basketball for Tech and was president of his senior class. He signed with the New York Yankees right after graduation and had a good baseball career in the minor leagues with the Seattle Rainiers, Hollywood Stars, and briefly, the Oakland Oaks. He got one brief shot in the major leagues with the Philadelphia Phillies in 1939, playing in five games. His son, Len Gabrielson, Jr., also played baseball at Tech and went on to play nine seasons in the major leagues. At Tech, they both played for legendary Coach Al Kyte.
